Cindy Rooy, author and speaker, grew up in the southeast suburbs of Chicago, Illinois. She graduated from Calvin College (Grand Rapids, Michigan) with a B.A. degree in Education. She has worked as a Kraft Foods sales representative, a Christian high school teacher, and a dental assistant but has found her passion in Christian writing.

Cindy is presently an inspirational newspaper columnist for three papers covering southwest Virginia and northeast Tennessee. She is a contributing author in devotional books and websites, and is the author of the Bible study, Trusting God Through Troubles & Tears. A former host of a biweekly radio segment called “Faith Flash,” Cindy enjoys a speaking ministry which includes retreats, conferences, workshops, banquets, and various church groups.

Cindy is a wife, mother of three children, and a grandmother. She and her husband reside in Albuquerque, New Mexico.
